Day 01: Arrival in Leh
Your arrival in Leh. Transfer to the hotel and rest for the acclimatization. Since Ladakh is at High altitude sometimes people get altitude sickness , such as having Headaches, and fall short of breath etc. After lunch if you are feeling fine you can visit the Leh market and around. (you can have a nice view of the whole Leh city from here) and a market which is at walking distance. Overnight in Leh.
Day 02: Hemis Monastery – Thiksey monastery - Shanti stupa
On your second day. You will explore the Indus valley. You will be visiting some monasteries around Leh itself which will help you to get acclimatised with the altitude. First of all you will be straight drive to the Hemis monastery ( the biggest monastery in Ladakh) . explore its beautiful monastery and the museum. On the way back you will also make a stop at the beautiful Thiksey monastery. And after the lunch you can explore Shanti Stupa and the market. Overnight in leh
Day 03: Liker - Alchi – Moonland- Lamayuru
After a delicious Breakfast, begin your journey to explore the beautiful western part of Ladakh. After 30 mins of driving, Enjoy the Sangam viewpoint, where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet, creating a breath-taking confluence. Continue your journey to visit the beautiful Liker monastery. After that head towards Alchi, a beautiful ancient village, have lunch there and later visit its ancient Alchi Monastery and its ancient paintings. Drive to Lamayuru known as 'Moonland' due to its unique landscapes resembling the moon on the way, overnight in lamayuru
Day 04: Lamayuru- Basgo – Gurduwara- Hall of fame - Leh ( 130kms / 3-4 hrs )
You will be driving back to Leh from Lamayuru today. You will enjoy your beautiful drive on the bank of Indus river. On the way explore Basgo castle/ palace. After that you will continue your journey towards Leh. You will also visit Magnetic hill, Gurduwara and Hall of Fame before reaching Leh. Overnight in Leh.
Day 05: Leh – Khardungla – Deskit – Hundar – Nubra ( 130kms / 4 -5 hrs )
After breakfast get ready for a thrilling drive to Nubra Valley via the legendary Khardong La Pass., ( the 2nd highest motorable road in the world). Visit Deskit monastery and big Maitreya statue. Deskit is famous for the 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently situated on a hilltop, facing the entire Valley. From the monastery you can have a beautiful view of the whole Nubra. Spend evening exploring Hundar immersing yourself in the tranquil beauty of Nubra Valley. do camel riding and explore the surroundings with a beautiful evening sunset, overnight in Hundar.
Day 06: Nubra – Turtuk – Thang – Nubra ( 180kms / 6 -7 hrs )
On this day after a delicious breakfast you will head towards Turtuk. This place is the last Indian village on the borders of India and Pakistan. This village used to be under Pakistan before the 1971 war but After the war it became a part of India and it opened for tourism recently. From the village of Thang you can actually see a Pakistani village called Phranu. The villagers will tell you stories about how it used to be before and after. On the way back you can also visit Yabgo Palace in Turtuk and its surroundings. Come back to Nubra on the same day overnight in Nubra.
Day 07: Nubra to Siachen Base Camp Via Panamic Hot Springs - Sumoor ( 210kms / 7-8 hrs )
After breakfast, Begin your day to explore the Siachen Base camp. After two hours of drive you will reach at Panamic Hot spring water. After enjoying the hot spring at Panamic, continue your journey to Base Camp, the Highest Battlefield in the world. Meet Army people and get to know about the daily life at Siachen. Drive back to Nubra after some quality time at Siachen. Overnight at sumoor.
Day 08: Sumoor – Agyam – Shayok – Pangong ( 170kms / 5-6 hrs )
Sumoor to Pangon will be 5 hours of drive. Begin your journey with a delicious breakfast. You will follow the Shayok River and slowly head toward Pangong Lake. It is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China, it is said that more than half of it is in China. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the Banks of Pangong while appreciating the changing Colours and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Overnight stay in Pangong.
Day 09: Pangong - Changla Pass - Thiksey Monastery- Leh ( 140kms / 4 -5 hrs )
Today, after breakfast, explore more of Pangong Lake and its surrounding village before heading towards Leh. En route, you'll cross Changla Pass at 17,350 ft, the third highest motorable road globally, offering glimpses of wildlife like marmots and captivating landscapes. Make a stop at Rancho School on the way. it's advisable to start early from Pangong to visit these sites. You will explore Leh market in the evening to buy souvenirs. Overnight in Leh.
Day 10: Departure
Fly back to Delhi with sweet memories of Ladakh
